Just a couple for ID, the bee was at Chesters Walled Garden on Saturday and has me stumped, it looks too orange for Red-tailed? Comments.

The moth was seduced by my tactic of working late in the kitchen with a light on and an open door, I think this is Square Spot Rustic but confirmation would be satisfying.

I'm pretty sure the bee's a male Bombus lapidarius. To be sure you'd need a close-up of the hairs on it's back legs.... You can tell it's a male by the yellow stripe on the thorax. The colours get really bleached and worn - so sometimes they can appear very orangey. Off to change moniker to BeeGuides now.

Aye its a Square Spot like mine from the other day. Someone left me a comment saying they had a coat just like it! A great likeness I think....
