Monday's Moths

Two moths from the last seven days, both fairly common but with delightful names. The first from Meg's Lake a Silver Ground Carpet and the second the moth with the best name ever a Snout. Not only does it fit this moth aptly, offering the perfect description of it's most prominent feature but it just conjures up Dickensian imagery for me that seems to fit with the dirty shade of brown that a Snout comes in. In fact I reckon Snouty here would make the perfect children's character to introduce them to the world of moths.

Silver Ground Carpet.

Snout, the moth with the perfect name.
